The state of Ethereum transactions are intolerable. While minters are running thousands of Mega-hashes in their bedrooms to capture some wealth, at the cost of much too excessive usage of computing and electrical power, the bottom line is transactions are getting hung for the lack of GAS fees, they're too expensive, and just so slow.
The worst of these is transferring, especially when it's not large sums. Every little bit helps, so trying to capture a moment when GAS fees seem low, it runs the risk the transaction gets stuck. It could take weeks or months for the transaction to be reverted and funds returned to your account. In the meantime, it's not even clear where the funds are or if they're retrievable until you've experienced it a handful of times-- it's not a fun experience.
Then there's the delays associated with a successful transaction. Oh my goodness, is it me and my unique experiences or does it take forever for something to happen on Ethereum? It's unbelievably unpleasant, especially when there's some sensitive things going on. I'm just so disappointed in my experiences on Ethereum's Main-net, it seems to be so darn slow! At least for me ... I know amazing things are happening in decentralized finance where swaps between Ethereum and other ERC20 tokens are happening, but good luck getting in with a fraction of one token, most of it would be consumed in GAS and the remainder would be lagging while time-sensitive swings occur.
It's too much for me. I love Ethereum for what it's done in creating an awesome new paradigm. I know the future will be bright, they'll overcome the issues they're facing, sadly, most of them are related to brand recognition. The minters want premium Ethereum tokens, and they are also causing the system to become so user unfriendly that it is on the verge of being broken. This is especially true when all the benefits, standards, features, and functions of Ethereum are available elsewhere. Here, we're using Gochain because we like the team, we've developed an affiliation to their open-source tools, and invested to contribute to Go's success in terms of technological contributions in both the open-source and close-source worlds. The unique benefits of Gochain may be time-sensitive, this may be an oasis whose time may run out once Gochain prices sky rocket, however, by that time, we and our audience would be in a position to retire happily from technology altogether.
