An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a “one of a kind” digital record that cannot be copied, altered, or hacked. “Non-fungible” means that it’s unique, that it can’t be replaced with something else, just like an original work of art.
For that reason, before you mint your Iconic Quote, you want to be absolutely certain that you don't have any typos, and that you are completely happy with the content you're creating.
1. Double check spelling, and then check it one more time to be sure!
2. Don’t put your own quote marks in, we have that covered. The Iconic Quote app automatically formats your words into a digital image complete with graphically placed quote marks, that clearly identify your words of wit or wisdom as a quote.
3. Don’t put a period at the end of your quote. Some famous quotes actually have periods at the end, but the trend today is to leave the period off, unless there is some extenuating circumstance.
4. Make sure your quote is balanced, and looks good. Keep in mind that your quote is an image, and as with any image, you want it to be aesthetically pleasing, while at the same time, putting emphasis on key words. The Iconic Quotes app, allows you to review and edit your quote, as much as you like before you mint it as an NFT. Please take your time adjusting lines breaks and/or words, until you love it.
5. Congratulations, you're making history. When you hit the "Register my NFT" button, the minting process is quite fast, and in a matter of seconds your NFT is registered. Your Block link is your immutable public record on the Main-net blockchain. This is your proof of ownership. You can access your proof of ownership by going to the “MY NFT’s” page, and clicking on your quote you want to review, or share.

Adding royalties to your NFT. It's an option you can add on the checkout page for $1 USD, and of course, you can choose the amount of royalty. It's an amazing tool because it allows you, down the road, to sell your NFT while retaining publishing and usage rights. For example, let's say you minted a quote, poem or story and added a 10% royalty to the NFT, and then sold that NFT for (name amount). It's still your material (meaning you can still use the quote, poem or story as you wish, you've only sold the NFT of that material (sort of like its birth certificate). As your reputation grows, so does the value of that NFT, and each time it's sold, you'd receive a 10% royalty of the sale price. FYI: We're currently in development of a unique marketplace that will make listing and selling your NFT's easy and seamless.
